Elisabet and Guillem celebrated a beautiful civil wedding in the forest of Can Riera de la Pineda, in Arbúcies, surrounded by nature, emotion, and details that spoke of their story.
Their story began, in a way, in Finland. Although they didn’t actually meet during their Erasmus, some friends told them about each other because they were both from the same area. The connection came later, through Instagram, once they had already returned to Catalonia.
Since then, they shared their passion for traveling and their affection for a country that had shaped their lives. Because of this, Finland was very present on their wedding day. Blue, one of the season’s trend colors, was the common thread of the decoration as a nod to the Finnish flag. It also inspired the table names and a very special seating plan.
As great travelers and adventure lovers, they designed an original seating plan for their 170 guests. Each person found their place using a personalized luggage tag, which also doubled as a beautiful wedding keepsake. Each table represented a corner of Finland and included an explanation of the place’s significance and the reason why it was important to them. In addition, each table had a captain in charge of keeping the energy up and liven up the celebration from the very beginning.
A civil ceremony in the woods, live music during the cocktail hour, an illustrator creating live portraits as gifts for couples and groups of friends, and a spectacular party that ended with a disco inside the chapel and a photocall that was a total hit until the end of the night.
An elegant, fun, and deeply personal wedding, where every detail reflected Elisabet and Guillem’s traveling spirit and the journey that led them to the “I do.”
